SYNC / FETCHING

Why two radios

Bluetooth is good at finding a device and bad at moving a file; WiFi Direct is the reverse. Ferry uses each for what it is good at — Bluetooth to discover and agree, WiFi Direct to carry the bytes — so two phones can exchange a file with no router, no hotspot and no intermediary server.

Status

Built and running on-device, not yet pushed to GitHub. This entry carries no source link rather than a dead one; it will gain download and source actions when the repository goes public.
